Thorin here, resident ESEA demagogue, and after carefully considering the different stances sent into the first edition of 'Master Debater' I've come to a decision on the community representative for the topic 'The state of CS 1.6'. An overwhelming number of you sent in stances from the position of being for the state of CS 1.6 and they were of an equal or better level of eloquence than the stances submitted as against. The representative defending 'The state of CS 1.6' will be Mutechno who in spite of his infamy on a certain popular E-Sports site presented a well thought out stance which covered the gamut of hot points worth discussing.

He will now have until tomorrow night to compose and refine his opening argument defending 'The state of CS 1.6'. Before I go let me just clarify the meaning of that debate topic so we can all go into the first debate with a clear understanding of what is being debated. Each potential topic put forth was phrased in such a manner that pure debate is possible from either side and there are a number of points which can and will be discussed in the course of debate. Do not mistake 'The state of CS 1.6' being purely a matter of arguing over the issue of 1.6 dying or being alive, that's merely a factor of the bigger picture the topic alludes to. With that said let's await Mutechno's opening gambit.
